So the NYPD, FBI, and Atlanta PD are presently scouring for the cold-blooded killer of UnitedHealthCare CEO Brian Thompson. At this writing, the killer remains unapprehended.
So are Gavin Newsom, JB Pritzker, Brandon Johnson, Michelle Wu, et al, all bluffing? Will these powerful elected officials actually seek to “fight” the incoming Trump administration’s efforts to apprehend and deport migrant criminals?
The streaming series Narcos, detailing the DEA’s pursuit of Colombia’s Medellin cartel and Pablo Escobar, proved so successful that Netflix subsequently launched a follow-on: Narcos Mexico (2018). The three seasons of the latter iteration are, if anything, better than the original, and are made all the more riveting by how close they hew to history.
So now comes word that Viktor Bout, the so-called “Merchant of Death” Russian arms dealer, is back to selling arms to America’s enemies after being traded by the Biden administration to Putin for WNBA player Brittney Griner. Who’da thunk it?
Another day — another resignation of a top government official here in NYC. At this rate, we’re going to be down to the Mayor and the dog-catcher.
Protesting for fun and profit
So looks like we’re in protest season again. Expect more, coming to a campus near you.
But what do the protestors really want? Do they actually expect Israel will disappear, “from the river to the sea”?
So what’s behind the indictment of New York City’s Mayor Eric Adams? Biden administration-vindictiveness? Or diligent anti-corruption enforcement?
